Student Health Insurance and Online Registration:  One Stop Guide
Please follow the corresponding directions by the applicable quarterly deadline to complete your insurance enrollment or waiver based on what you selected or plan to select during Online Registration through Portico. 

Quarterly Deadlines:
The deadlines to complete your enrollments or waiver each quarter are as follows:
Spring Quarter: April 4, 2008
Summer Quarter:  June 27, 2008

How does this work now that online registration is in place?
  Signing up for student health/dental insurance requires two key steps:
    1) purchasing the plan of your choice during online registration, and
    2) turning in the necessary paperwork or completing the insurance company
   
online process to be enrolled each quarter, as outlined below.         

  Similarly, waiving requires that you
    1) designate your intent to waive during online registration and
    2) complete the online waiver process, as outlined below.

You will be able to complete these steps in the order convenient for you as long as both are completed before the quarterly deadline.

What do I do if I want to begin Waiving/enrolling before online registration?*
  Health/Dental Insurance

    Forms can be turned in to our office or enrollment processes started prior to registering for classes.  Simply complete the necessary documents/processes for the plan(s) you want based on the number of units you intend to register for.
Go to Blue Cross, Delos, or United Concordia below for what's needed.  Then, after you register for classes, you can click on Step 4 of Online Registration to purchase the insurance you already signed up for.
 
  Waiving Out of Student Health Insurance
    Students are encouraged to start the
online waiver process prior to registering for classes.  If your waiver is not yet confirmed by the time you go to Step 4 of Online Registration, simply select the “I intend to waive” option. You can check back later to verify that your waiver is confirmed in the Fuller system.  Go to Waiver below for what's needed to waive.

What do I do if I begin Waiving/enrolling after online registration?
  Health/Dental Insurance
    Forms can be turned into our office and the online processes started after registering for classes, as long as completed by the quarterly deadline. Simply follow the appropriate directions for the plan(s) you purchased during online registration.  See Blue Cross, Delos, or United Concordia below for what's needed.

  Waiving Out of Student Health Insurance
    If you are required to purchase health insurance but selected the "intend to waive" option in Online Registration, you must complete the online waiver process, as outlined in the Waiver section below, and turn in the necessary documents by the quarterly deadline to avoid being charged and enrolled in health insurance.

Waiver

Click here if you already have comparable health insurance and would like to waive out of Fuller's student health insurance plans.  Please note that this process needs to be completed once per academic year (Fall - Summer) by the applicable quarterly deadline.  Begin the process now at www.renstudent.com/fuller.  For more information regarding this process click here.

Blue Cross

To enroll in the Blue Cross HMO you must complete the Blue Cross Health Insurance Form each quarter and the Blue Cross Enrollment Form once per academic year (Fall - Summer). 
Submit your form(s) to the Student Health Insurance Office by the applicable quarterly deadline.  Click here to find out more about the HMO plan offered through Blue Cross of California.*

Delos

To enroll please complete the online form each quarter at www.renstudent.com/fuller by the applicable quarterly deadline.

United Concordia

To enroll for the voluntary student dental insurance you must complete the Voluntary Dental Insurance Form each quarter and the United Concordia Enrollment Form once per academic year (Fall - Summer)  Submit your form(s) to the Student Health Insurance Office by the applicable quarterly deadline.  If you elected to purchase the Dental insurance for the entire year in the Fall Quarter, you do not need to complete any further paperwork.  Click here to find out more about the Voluntary Student Dental insurance plan.*

Please keep in mind you may not switch between medical plans during the middle of the academic year.  Eligibility for plans will be verified once you register for classes. Please note that it is the student's responsibility to provide all necessary forms, and payment, if applicable, to the Student Health Insurance Office by the first Friday of the quarter in order to be insured.
