ST502: SYSTEMATIC THEOLOGY II: CHRISTOLOGY AND SOTERIOLOGY. Jung S. Rhee.


DESCRIPTION:

This course is designed to introduce a systematic understanding of Christian beliefs in Jesus Christ and salvation, with doctrinal discussions on the person and work of Christ, atonement, the Holy Spirit, and various aspects of salvation including the divine call, regeneration, conversion, repentance, faith, justification and sanctification. This doctrinal study will be applied to the contemporary and global context.

RELEVANCE FOR MINISTRY:
This course will equip students to teach and preach to the church in the contemporary world with a systematic understanding of the Christian beliefs, as well as respond to the contemporary issues responsibly with a comprehensive and doctrinal perspective.

COURSE FORMAT:
The course will meet once a week for three hours of lecture and discussion.

  2. A 10-page research paper in the areas of Christology and soteriology.
