CO500: COMMUNICATION. Erin M. DeMeester. (Two Units).
DESCRIPTION:
- This course is designed to develop communication skills in the
preparation and delivery of spoken messages. Attention will be given to
speaking situations frequently encountered in ministry: speeches to persuade,
convince and inform; self-introductions; sharing of Christian experience;
storytelling; and biblical messages. Emphasis will be placed on the creation
and delivery of original material for presentations. Questions about voice,
gesture, non-verbal communication, and speech anxiety will be considered. The
course will use video tape recording. Enrollment is limited to ten
students.
RELEVANCE FOR MINISTRY:
- To be successful in ministry, students must know what will make

speaking.
