DESCRIPTION:
- This is the second in a two-quarter course designed to give the
student a basic knowledge of the phonology, morphology, and syntax of biblical
Hebrew. Emphasis will be on reading and translation. In addition to the
biblical texts which the text book contains, a number of other texts will be
selected from various parts of the Old Testament in order to provide the
student with a broad exposure to the different types of biblical literature.
Students are expected to enroll fall and winter to complete this course.
- The course will be conducted entirely in Spanish.
RELEVANCE FOR MINISTRY:
- The course will provide the student with basic skills in Hebrew
grammar needed for teaching and preaching.
COURSE FORMAT:
- The course method is based on preparation of designed lessons
before coming to class. The class sessions consist of recitation and discussion
of questions and problems, as well as presentation of material as needed. Class
will meet for two-hour sessions twice a week.

ASSIGNMENTS:
- Each student is expected to be present at all class sessions with
the lessons fully prepared. There will be daily quizzes, a midterm and a final
examination.
PREREQUISITES:
- Spanish. LG502A, same instructor and section.
RELATIONSHIP TO CURRICULUM:
- This two-quarter sequence meets M. Div. core requirement in Hebrew
(HEB).
