ST525: PNEUMATOLOGY: CURRENT TRENDS AND HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENTS.
Veli-Matti Kärkkäinen.

DESCRIPTION:

This course provides a resource for Christian thought, life, and ministry by examining current trends and historical developments in Pneumatology, the doctrine and spirituality of the Holy Spirit. After a careful tracing of biblical and historical developments, main focus will be placed on the study of Pneumatology across the ecumenical spectrum. Special discussion topics include Spirit-baptism, charismata, and Green Pneumatology, as well as other contextual Pneumatologies.

In the minister's own spiritual life and preparation for Christian ministry, a theological course in Pneumatology has the potential of creating a life-long interest in and hunger for understanding and appropriating the dynamic work of the Spirit.
