Edith Munger Scholarship

The School of Psychology of Fuller Theological Seminary
is pleased to announce the establishment of the

EDITH MUNGER SCHOLARSHIP
in honor of the school’s first woman graduate,

Dr. Edith Munger

Courageously entering graduate school at the age of 59 and receiving her doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 1974, Dr. Edith Munger has been a pioneer for women in the world of Christian counseling. Together with her husband, Rev. Bob Munger, Edie fulfilled her commitment to reaching hurting and lost people by conducting an active psychotherapy practice, pastoring various churches, serving in campus ministry at Fuller, and founding the Creative Counseling Center at Hollywood Presbyterian Church.

The Edith Munger Scholarship will support women who, like Edie, heed the call to enter the counseling ministry as a second career. It is our prayer and vision that the students supported in Edie’s name will bring healing and hope to broken lives and, in so doing, will pass on to a new generation the gifts with which Edie herself blessed others. Our goal is to raise at least $200, 000 as an endowment for the scholarship. When fully funded, the Edith Munger Scholarship will provide $12,000 to the recipient each year.

If you would like to make a contribution to the Edith Munger Scholarship you may do so online here.
