MASTER’S DEGREE PROGRAMS

The School of Intercultural Studies offers four Master’s degree programs: Master of Arts in Crosscultural Studies, Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies, Master of Theology in Missiology, and Master of Arts in Global Leadership.  The Master of Arts in Crosscultural Studies is a two-year program is designed to prepare students with less than three years of crosscultural ministry experience for service in multicultural contexts. Combining the resources of the School of Intercultural Studies and the School of Theology, this degree program provides special preparation for future missionaries, pastors, teachers, and other professionals who hope to share their faith and lives in a multicultural world. 

The Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies is designed to meet the need for mid-career training for missionaries and international church and mission leaders. This degree exposes students to new possibilities for missiological praxis so that they meet the challenge of contextualizing the gospel in an increasingly global community.

The Master of Theology in Missiology trains pastors, mission leaders, and denominational leaders, who already have earned a Master of Divinity degree (or its educational equivalent), to meet the challenge of ministering in an increasingly complex, multiethnic, multinational world.  

The School of Intercultural Studies offers Dual Degree Programs with Fuller Theological Seminary’s School of Theology, a MBA in International Development or Non-Profit Management with Hope International University, and Master of Arts in TESOL with Biola University. 

The Master of Arts in Global Leadership allows men and women, who have at least four years of leadership experience and are actively engaged in a significant leadership role in a church or parachurch organization, to stay fully engaged in their ministries while studying mainly online.
