About our Classes

Classes in the School of Intercultural Studies are dynamic experiences.  Our average class size is around 25-30 students.  Our faculty are all experienced practitioners as well as being experts in the theory relevant to their field.  You can expect to be challenged intellectually and spiritually in any class you take in the School of Intercultural Studies.  Most classes are combinations of lectures and group discussions, but all place a priority on the ability of students to read assigned literature, research related topics independently, and write with excellence.

For more information on our classes, visit our course schedules, which list the classes we will be offering over the coming quarters.  You might also appreciate looking over our Expanded Course Descriptions (ECDs) which give you a clearer idea of the kinds of assignments and reading required in different classes.

Also, as you are considering the courses we offer, don’t forget that most faculty members are also willing to pursue Directed Studies with students who want to pursue particular questions related to their areas of concentration.
