The Texas Theological Foundation was founded in 2005. The foundation's vision, "Preparing Pastors for the 21st Century" reflects the desire of the foundation to make a difference in our emerging culture by re-thinking the way seminarians are taught the skills they need to succeed in the 21st Centrury while maintaining their desire to spread the gospel of Christ to our world.

One of the original goals of the foundation has already been achieved.  The foundation sought to bring the rich programs of Fuller Theological Seminary to Houston.  In the Fall of 2006, Fuller will begin to offer graduate-level classes to students in the Houston area, launching a new era of visionary theological education.

The second purpose will be ongoing.  Higher education of any type is expensive.  The foundation is raising funds for scholarships for seminarians, so that all who are called may be able to concentrate fully on their education without the added burden of financial stress.
