Grants:

The Doctor of Ministry Office has a limited number of need-based grants available to students. The Doctor of Ministry Office must receive a grant request 7 weeks prior to the first day of the course for which the grant is being requested. The forms are available from the Doctor of Ministry Office and can be requested here. Grants are awarded according to the Doctor of Ministry Grant Guidelines on the back of the grant request form.

Grant funds are limited and may not always be available throughout the year. Grants are awarded solely according to financial need. Maximum grants for U.S. students are 20 percent of the tuition for the class and 30 percent for international students. Only one grant may be requested within a 12-month period. Grants are not available for Directed Studies, Independent Studies, Final Projects, DM711, or the PM711Theology of Ministry in Mission.

Loans:

Fuller's DMin programs is not eligible to participate in the federal student aid programs. Alternative student loan funding sources will remain available to eligible students. Please contact Student Financial Services for details.

For loan origination and eligibility purposes, a student must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident registered at half-time status or greater. Half-time status for D.Min. students is 8 units (full-time is 12 units). All loans must be processed for and during the quarter in which the units are registered. A course reservation and all required financial aid application materials must be received before a loan may be processed.

The deferment period is two quarters beginning the first day of the quarter in which the student is enrolled for the seminar/course, and ending the last day of the following quarter (no enrollment required for quarter following). Deferment during Final Project work is only available under the same conditions as above. For outstanding loans prior to Fuller, deferment requirements vary. All loans are processed through the Financial Aid Office. Contact Financial Aid for additional information and materials at 1-800-235-2222 ext. 5424.

Payment Options:

Registration for the course takes place in the classroom on the first day of the course, with tuition payment due and payable at that time. Noncredit and visiting students must pay in full at this time; credit students must follow one of the available payment methods.

Registrations for Independent Studies, the Theology of Ministry course, and Final Projects may be done through the mail. Tuition must be paid at the time of registration. The same payment options are available as above.

Tuition rates normally increase annually in June. To avoid this tuition increase, participants may prepay the entire 48 or 76 units at the time of their first course, using the current tuition rate. This prepayment covers only tuition, and the funds must remain in the student's account for the student to retain prepayment privileges. Any courses not completed or passed by a prepaid student will require additional tuition to be paid at current rates to make up the lost credit units. Prepayment does not cover other fees, such as late paper or final project binding fees, which are due at the time they are incurred. No prepayment option is available for individual classes or the final project.

All student accounts must be paid in full and all prior coursework must be submitted before registering for or attending another course.
